The European Academy of Religion is the major platform for academic research on religion and its relevance for society. It is our mission to connect scholars, to promote research, to increase academic quality and to create awareness for the role of religion in the public square.

AIMS AND MEANS

The European Academy of Religion works on realizing this mission by:

• offering a platform of intellectual and interdisciplinary discourse and debate;

• promoting research excellence, innovation and collaboration; 

• providing an open space for  the production and dissemination of knowledge;

• making the fruits and the value of religious studies visible to a wider audience;

• connecting academics, decision policy-makers, and representatives of religious communities; 

• organising an annual academic conference; 

• encouraging collaborations for the development of academic research and training programs;

• supporting proposals for funding of research;

• partnering with other associations and institutions that share the same goals.
