PANEL PROPOSALS SUBMISSION

GENERAL INFO

#EuARe2026 welcomes panel and Author Meets Critique (AMC) proposals, according to the rules and deadlines published in the Call for Proposals. Scholars, students, practitioners, and other interested parties are encouraged to participate in the conference by organizing and proposing panels.

Participants are encouraged to involve young scholars in their panels, to foster fresh perspectives, promote diversity of thought, and cultivate the next generation of experts in the field. â€‹

Panel proposals may be:

  • Closed Panels: The panel is fully finalized at the moment of submission and doesn’t accept any further contribution during the Call for papers.

  • Open Panels: The proposal involves at least two papers that have already been agreed upon at the moment of submission, and accepts further paper proposals from external scholars during the Call for papers.

  •  Author Meets Critique (AMC): The proposal is fully finalized at the moment of submission and involves presenting a recently published work, with the author responding to critique from other panelists.

Only proposals sent through our panel submission form will be taken into consideration.

The Call for Papers within open panels starts on February 2nd, 2026, after the end of the Call for Proposals, and guidelines for paper submissions will be published later on, along with the instructions regarding the papers’ review procedure. Each panel must appoint a contact person, who will be in charge of the evaluation of the paper proposals.

The language of the European Academy of Religion and its annual conference is English to enable the widest possible participation. We invite each and every speaker to take this policy into account.

The conference will be only in person, no hybrid formats will be possible.
